Overview
The North Hall Data Center is a resource for hosting UCSB information technology systems across the Academic, Administrative and Research communities.
There is no direct cost to the customer hosting equipment in NHDC. As a shared resource, there are policies and procedures in place, evolving to efficiently and effectively manage the facility.
ITS is the UCSB entity charged with managing and operating the facility on behalf of the campus community.
NHDC Services are governed by an SLA between the customer and NHDC. ITS receives input on the operation of NHDC from customers, Core Services Advisory Group, and the campus community. Operational governance is exercised by the Cyberinfrastructure Committee and the Information Technology Board (ITB).
